Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a technological breakthrough in the treatment of Major Depression. TMS utilizes pulses of magnetic energy, similar in strength to those produced by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, to stimulate areas of the brain known to control mood.
