Dansk Andels Ægexport – which changed its name to DANÆG 90 years later was founded in 1895. The goal was to coordinate Danish egg production and export to England. From the beginning, the egg producers, who were also co-operative members, had to live up to very strict and completely new rules. It was the very first time that the rules implied clean hen houses, collection of eggs twice a day and protection of the eggs against sunlight, moisture and frost. Quality and high standards within animal welfare and food safety are still the foundation of our business.DANÆG Products A/S was established in 1991 and manufactures egg products for professional users on both the Danish market and the export markets, primarily in Europe and the Middle East. We are FSSC 22000 certified and focus on high quality in our products.
