Looking for an accessory to add a touch of originality to your black tie style? Look no further - Bow Tie Guys are here. We hand make origami bow ties with a variety of fold patterns, paper designs and ribbon colours, providing a customisable range of unique and high quality bow ties. The idea was conceived in late 2012, when, before going to a Summer Ball, Bruno decided that fabric bow ties were a bit old hat - instead, he created the first Bow Tie Guys origami bow tie. Made with uncertain measurements out of an offcut of black paper and ribbon, it was clumsily sewn together and tied around the collar with a knot at the back. Despite this, the bow tie stood out as unique and creative, adding a subtle touch of flair without compromising on class. It was the rave responses Bruno received that made him realise he might be onto something. It wasn't until Bruno met Zach, already an established web designer, at university two years later that the decision was made to do something about the abundance of humdrum bow ties. Over the next couple of months, they tested a range of folds, experimented with printing different patterns, and tested out a variety of ribbon fabric and colours. Finally, they came up with their range of products, and promptly opened up shop at www.bowtieguys.co.uk Of course, some key changes have been made since that very first clumsy bow tie - now, we use thick, high quality card, either in black or with book pages or a doodle printed on, and the bow ties are finished with strong grosgrain ribbon and genuine bow tie fastenings. But one fundamental element has remained the same. Every single bow tie is hand made from start to finish by Bruno and Zach, and that's what makes our bow ties truly unique.
