Enclos is one of the largest specialty contractors in the United States. The firm provides design, engineering, fabrication and installation services for custom curtainwall systems and structural glass facades. Our roots trace back to the advent of curtainwall cladding systems in the mid-twentieth century. The sustainability of building practices into the future will have much to do with the building skin, and Enclos is playing a leadership role in defining the future of high-performance building systems.In 2009 Enclos launched a bold initiative — The Advanced Technology Studio of Enclos — to redefine the technical landscape of the building facade. This facade think tank was opened in downtown Los Angeles as a deep, technical resource for our clients, with the mission to define the future of the building skin. The Studio's agenda is split between facade related research and development activities, pre-sale technical support, and design-assist services on the most technologically advanced facade programs. The rapid success of this initiative led to the launch of a second Studio in New York City in 2011.
