When we started Leigh's Blankies in 2011, our hope was to send comfort to little ones with a soft blankie to call their own. Now, six years later, God has used Leigh's Blankies to expand its reach to over 25 different countries and over 6000 children in need. It has been beyond our wildest dreams. And God is still working. Introducing Leigh's Mission.Leigh's Mission is a family of ministries which includes Leigh's Blankies, Huruma Children's Sewing Program, Hands to Home and Mama Leigh Ann's Home.Leigh's Mission will be focused on: Leigh's Blankies provides Blankies to children in need all over the world. Huruma Children's Sewing Program is a sustainable sewing program at Huruma Children's Home in Kenya.Hands to Home is an annual project in Kenya that provides support and basic needs to the orphans at Huruma Children's Home who are aging out of the orphanage into life on their own. And lastly, we are excited about our newest project, Mama Leigh Ann's Home! Currently in the building process, this home will provide housing for the orphaned transition students of Huruma Children's Home for up to one year. It will provide a safe environment for these young adults to live in as they make the transition to life out on their own and encourage accountability and support for each other. We have been in awe of God's faithfulness in this ministry and are reminded on a daily basis that broken things can become blessed things if you let God do the mending.www.leighsmission.com
