Mind Share Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is changing the culture of workplace mental health so that both employees and organizations can thrive. We do this through movement-building, professional communities, as well as corporate workshops and advising services. Twenty percent of Americans this year will have a mental health condition such as depression or anxiety; up to 80 percent will struggle at some point in their lives. That means mental health affects every conference call, every meeting, and every team. Despite mental health conditions being more common than cancer, diabetes, or heart disease--combined, they still carry a strong stigma and, consequently, often go untreated. This stigma is especially prevalent in the workplace, where mental health remains a taboo topic. Tragically, 8 out of 10 employees do not seek treatment because of fear and shame. The results are devastating. Not only do individuals suffer needlessly in silence, but the economy suffers as well: $17 billion is lost annually in workplace productivity. By normalizing mental health at work, we remove barriers for employees who want to seek treatment. When an organization commits to building a mentally healthy workplace, they develop healthy employees who can be engaged and productive.
