Old Colony Hospice, founded in 1979, is one of the first in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Old Colony Hospice is a private, non-profit, CHAP accredited hospice and palliative care agency, serving individuals and families in more than 40 communities in Bristol, Norfolk and Plymouth counties. Our goal is to relieve the pain of human suffering in individuals with advanced disease. Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most third party payers. Our patients and families never receive a bill. And we work with your primary care physician to coordinate your care.We also offer opportunities for you to help support our mission. Volunteers are always welcome - with opportunities to visit patients, participate in organizing events or supporting some office functions.We also offer opportunities for you to contribute to our mission through financial support for our programs and functions that are not reimbursed by insurance. Without your ongoing support we could not provide the level of community outreach and education, technology support for our electronic medical record and communication devices, accounting systems and our palliative care consultation team, to name a few.
