SAFEAERO is since 2016 part of Textron GSE.The Safeaero company was founded in 1997 when it acquired the rights of production and marketing of the first one-person operated deicers introduced by the Norwegian company Hägglunds Moelv AS in 1987.At Safeaero we strive to offer the best customer value through purpose-built, high-end aircraft deicing solutions. To achieve that, we constantly innovate with careful research and development of new technologies, and close collaboration with our clients on how to best adapt to their needs for safer, faster and more economical deicing operations.Our one-person operated deicers 220, 220EH and 223XXL are purposely-built from the very beginning to be the best, most efficient and user-friendly aircraft deicers possibly made. The fact that they are not based on truck chassis means that every part of the vehicles is optimized for what they were really made to do: Deicing! The wide and low center of gravity construction, offers maximum stability and safety around aircrafts when maneuvering during deicing operations, even with fully extended boom. Already from the start they were delivered with car-like driving system, and over the years we have developed state-of-the-art technologies such as a stepless fluid mixing system, batch heating system, flexible nozzle control and other, that allow our clients to be more adaptable and effective in any weather conditions, while being faster and have significantly less fluid consumption.Our client base includes airline companies such as KLM, SAS, as well as ground support service providers such as Swissport, and airport authorities operating at some of the busiest and most deicing intensive airports such as Amsterdam (AMS), Oslo (OSL), Copenhagen (CPH), Vienna (VIE) and other. All our clients emphasize the ease of use and effectiveness of our deicers, reduced time of deicing operations, and glycol savings of up to 50%.Safeaero products are still produced in Trelleborg Sweden.
