Castillo Engineering, Inc. was founded in 2011 to focus on providing Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and other public entities with transportation projects. We are a Florida based Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) that provides highly qualified individuals with a balance combination of technical skills, experience and fully certified through the Construction Technician Qualification Program (CTQP). Our current clients include both state and county agencies such as FDOT Districts IV and VI, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise and Palm Beach County. As a subconsultant to the Construction Management Engineering and Materials Consultant (CMEMC) on Florida's Turnpike, we currently provide Construction Management and Utility Coordination services system wide. The program consists of improvement/rehabilitation of the Turnpike's 449-miles (723-kilometer) of limited-access toll facilities. The system includes 487 bridges, water and sewage treatment plants, 180 buildings, 8 service plazas, and 12 barrier toll plazas. As Construction Project Managers and Utility Coordinators, we act as the Department's representative, ensuring compliance with all laws, policies and procedures related to the Department's operations. We monitor and evaluate whether the Department's goals are being accomplished efficiently and cost-effectively; enforce performance of the contract terms and conditions; serve as a liaison with the consultants and contractors; and ensure that contractual services have been rendered in accordance with the contract terms.
