The John S. Knight (JSK) Journalism Fellowships at Stanford fosters innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in journalism, supporting people in creating new models, tools and approaches that are redefining the industry. As widespread change has swept journalism, our core mission has remained the same: to improve the quality of news and information reaching the public. JSK Fellows come from all over the world and from all types of journalism, including daily newspapers, radio and television, nonprofit news startups, blogs and ethnic media. They explore and use Stanford's resources while working on their proposals. They take their cues from our partners and allies in Silicon Valley, as they prototype, refine and retest their ideas. They work closely with each other — and JSK staff — to develop their proposals, explore big ideas and transform journalism.
