Stenhousemuir Football Club is a professional football team that plays in the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) League 1. The Club was believed to be the first professional football team in the UK to become a Community Interest Company, thereby protecting the assets and ownership of the Club for future generations. The Club has a strong community base and was awarded the title of Best Professional Football Club in the Community, by the Scottish FA for 2012/13. The Club first team currently competes in the SPFL League 1, and is managed by Martyn Corrigan with Kevin McGoldrick as the Assistant Manager. The Club is managed by a Board of Directors, with a General Manager (Margaret Kilpatrick) looking after day to day affairs.
