Who is Habitat for Hope?We are a committed group of volunteers and staff that work to form community around the hundreds of displaced families that enter the mid-south region to receive care for their child. We exist to support, serve, and care for families facing the serious or long-term illness of a child. We provide the holistic practical, emotional, spiritual, and respite care needed by these families. We step in to the life of a family and commit to a long-term relationship that extends beyond the illness of the child – whether that illness leads to recovery or the child passing on. We serve families by feeding them, providing lodging, helping with transportation, inviting them into our homes for gatherings, and staying in close contact once they return home.Recognized as a non-profit in 2005, Habitat for Hope has served over 200 families since its inception. Our team's personal experience with the illness of a loved one creates deep empathy and compassion for the families we serve.
