Since 1992, our students have been consistently placed on national and international mathematics honour rolls and our alumni have obtained scholarships from some of North America's top universities.The concept of teaching was originally developed by Charles Ledger, a Rene Descartes Foundation Medalist and winner of the Prime Minister's Award for Teaching, along with Co-Founder, Gwen Ledger, Kim Langen, CEO and Co-Founder of Spirit of Math Schools Inc., extended her father's teaching concept from an after-school class in her basement to a full 39 week curriculum for grades Kindergarten to 11. All Spirit of Math teachers are university graduates who complete a comprehensive Fundamentals of Teaching Mathematics Course program and participate in ongoing professional development.
