The Alternatives to Violence Project (AVP) started in prisons in the USA in 1975, and now operates in conflict situations worldwide. We run workshops in prisons, communities, schools, colleges and refugee camps across 50 countries, including Russia, Israel, South Africa & KenyaOur programmes enable participants to deal with potentially explosive situations in new and creative ways, enabling them to manage conflict without resorting to violence. Workshops are non-residential, experiential (not based on lectures) and run by our trained facilitators.
