Softrel, LLC has developed methods to predict software defects, defect density, failure rate, MTBF, availability and reliability which can be used prior to the software code completion. Other software reliability models cannot be used until later in the development process when it's too late for the models to affect decisions or design. These models have been used in industry for more than 20 years and are available in training, software or consulting services. Softrel, LLC has also authored one of the only industry guidebooks on software FMEA. We have identified more than 400 software failure mode/root causes that apply to virtually all types of software systems. These are also available in training, software and consulting services.
