Managing Partner at small real estate firm. Former Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity at NJ affiliate.
Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County (HFHMC) is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing through constructing, rehabilitating, and preserving homes; by advocating for fair housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that everyone should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in our communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all. Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County serves the 36 towns that comprise 83% of Monmouth County, New Jersey. Since 1989, the organization has built 58 new affordable homes for first time homebuyers and has rehabilitated over 100 homes through our programs that service low to moderate-income residents and families. In 2014, HFHMC was tasked with responding to the devastation of Superstorm Sandy where over 75% of shore housing was damaged. Our affiliate returned over 125 Sandy-affected Monmouth County residents back to their homes through providing critical repairs including lifts and reconstructions. HFHMC is ranked in the top 20% of Habitat affiliates in the country because of the number of families we are able to serve. HFHMC builds homes, communities, and hope.
