TOPkit (Teaching Online Preparation Toolkit) empowers the faculty development community in higher education with openly-licensed resources and professional development events. TOPkit benefits professionals who strive to enhance the culture of quality online education (e.g., instructional designers, project managers, digital learning or faculty development administrators). Enriching resources include but are not limited to the "Faculty Development Decision Guide," downloadable openly-licensed sample courses, and the TOPkit Digest—which includes quarterly advice from TOPkit's Ask ADDIE column. TOPkit also offers live, virtual professional development events, such as Online CoLAB speed-networking events, webinars to enhance practice, and the TOPkit Workshop (offered annually in March).TOPkit was established to support of the State University System of Florida Board of Governors 2025 Strategic Plan for Online Education, yet while TOPkit is a state-of-Florida funded initiative, its reach extends to professional development communities across the world.
