The Sannai Company lies nestled in a marvelous corner of northern Sardinia on the eastern slope of Mount Plebi, approximately three mi. (6 km) from the city of Olbia . Surrounded by the Mediterranean, its four acres ( 2 hectares) boast breathtaking views of Porto Rotondo and some of the Emerald Coast's most beautiful beaches. It is here where the Myrtus Communis grows, embracing the sunrise and refreshed by the summer sea breeze.Our young company was founded in June 2015 by Antonio Castelli, a native of Bitti, Sardinia. After many years of competing all over Italy as a professional soccer player, Antonio, driven by a love for his land, decided to start a business of cultivating and producing artisanal Mirto liqueur using only ingredients of the highest quality to ensure a genuine product.We believe that combining the concepts of eco-environmental sustainability and biodiversity with ethics and philosophy is the key that identifies our product, and ultimately WHO WE ARE.Those who try our MIRTO are not simply limited to the flavor a good liqueur, but can fully enjoy an authentic taste of Sardinia; a precious "made in Italy" niche product that we are eager to make known and appreciated all over the world through targeted distribution.We are producers, managers and salespeople, but above all we are farmers. The berry whose quality is the primary influencer of the finished product, is the principal ingredient used in the production of our liqueur. We use berries from our carefully selected plants that are flourishing in their natural habitat protected from winter winds and overexposure from the sun by surrounding shrubs and trees (such as the strawberry, pear, wild olive and holm just to name a few).
