Saint Mary Star of the Sea Catholic School educates students of all faiths from pre-k 3 through 8th grade in knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. Under the leadership of the Dominican Sisters, the school develops the spiritual, intellectual, and social aspects of the students, preparing them for high school and beyond. Fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Saint Mary's offers a challenging academic program. The core of the school's academic curriculum at Saint Mary's includes science, mathematics, language arts, social studies, religion with an enrichment program in five areas for all grade levels in: Spanish, Physical Education, Technology, Art and Drama. Saint Mary's also offers a curriculum in Marine Science in its Living Shoreline Classroom. The program takes children beyond the scope of a typical classroom to our Living Shoreline to learn about the Chesapeake Bay and its marine life. Saint Mary's is offering five courses for high school credit: Earth Science, Spanish, Algebra, Geometry and World History.
