Indian Institute of Technology Mandi is one among the group of sixteen Indian Institutes of Technology, primer institutes for research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established in 2009, IIT Mandi is the youngest of all the sixteen IITs. The campus is located in the town of Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, amidst the picturesque Sivalik Range of Himalayas.Currently, the institute has four academic schools and two advanced research centres. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in basic sciences and engineering. With the vision, to be a leader in science and technology education, knowledge creation and innovation, in an India marching towards a just, inclusive and sustainable society, IIT Mandi focuses on establishing itself as a primer centre of research and education.
