Philadelphia Language Center was founded on the belief that every student has the ability to learn a new language. Over the three years, our staff has helped more than 400 students improve their study habits, comprehension, and test-taking skills. As a result, these students have earned better test scores and grades, and grown in self-esteem and confidence. We love celebrating those victories with our students.Philadelphia Language Center integrates excellent and innovative instruction in language with a curriculum that incorporates linguistics, culture, and area studies, offering students opportunities to use the target language with native and near-native language professionals and with each other. The curriculm is supported by an extensive program designed to reinforce classroom learning through a task based approach. We are dedicated to the premise that withour real competency in language there can be no true cultural understanding, and, that to be truely effective, language speaking must provide meaninful access to other cultures.
