The Italy China Foundation created by Cesare Romiti in 2003 is dedicated to promoting business and cultural links between Italy and China. Its offices are located in Milan, Beijing and Rome. The board of directors consists of high ranking officials and managers representing the Italian Government and local authorities, Confindustria (i.e. the confederation of Italian industry) and the leading enterprises and financial groups. The Foundation assists Italian firms in their on-going or prospective operations in China and provides support to Chinese companies seeking investment and business opportunities in Italy. The Foundation works with Italian and Chinese authorities to ensure that the relationship between the two countries remains strong and vital and that the business environment improves steadily for Italian companies in China and for Chinese companies in Italy.Nata a nel novembre 2003 per volontà di Cesare Romiti la Fondazione Italia Cina è una organizzazione senza scopo di lucro che ha sedi a Milano, Pechino e Roma. La Fondazione ha l'obiettivo di promuovere gli scambi economici, politici e culturali tra Italia e Cina. In particolare la Fondazione si propone di incrementare gli scambi di idee, persone, beni, servizi e capitali tra i due Paesi. La Fondazione assiste gli operatori italiani attraverso attività formative, progetti di penetrazione del mercato, consulenza strategica, legale, corporate e HR. La Fondazione si attiva con le autorità dei due Paesi al fine di contribuire a più strette relazioni economiche e commerciali tra Italia e Cina ed a promuovere un migliore contesto economico per le imprese italiane che operano con la Cina ed un ambiente più ricettivo per le imprese cinesi in Italia. La Fondazione annovera tra i propri soci Ministeri, Regioni, ICE, Confindustria, le più importanti realtà imprenditoriali ed i principali istituti di credito in Italia nonché l'associazione che riunisce le multinazionali cinesi che hanno investito in Italia.
