We distribute 60% of our food production to community partners through our Farm to Food Deserts program ensuring healthy produce reaches people who need it most in STL communities. By experimenting with different media and growing systems conducive to an urban environment, Urban Harvest offers educational platforms inspiring people to grow food where they live. Fulfilling our dynamic mission rooted in agroecology principles, Urban Harvest transforms underutilized spaces with a biodiversity and sustainability focus. Our farms promote climate change resilience, mitigate storm water runoff, and reduce the heat island effect normative in city environments. The design and education focused programming of the FOOD ROOF Farm has garnered Urban Harvest awards from the International Network for Urban Agriculture and the American Institute of Architects St. Louis Chapter. Our team of experts provide design and installation consulting uniquely combining expertise in both architecture and farming—on the ground and in the rooftop skyline!
