In 1991, a special idea originated in Vaasa, a small seaside town in Finland. That year two brothers had the idea of an innovative letterbox - the Bobi. Thus, Bobicompany, a small family business that specializes in developing and producing mailboxes was born.Now over a decade later, much is still the same at Bobicompany. It is still a family operated company and all the Bobi letterboxes are still being manufactured at the Bobifactory in Vaasa. However not everything has stayed the same. The original Bobi letterbox has grown into a complete letterbox family of different styles, sizes, functions and colors. Bobi quickly became Finland's most popular letterbox and Bobi has gone international. Today, Bobi letterboxes are available in the United States, Europe and Japan through distinctive retail and design shops.
