Green Polymeric Materials is a Detroit-based manufacturing company that produces injection molded polyurethane foam components that contain recycled tire rubber and soy-based raw materials. Since 2002, the company has been producing seals and gaskets for a number of automotive applications, particularly HVAC. The material competes with vulcanized EPDM rubber and provides a number of performance benefits related to water repulsion, noise reduction, vibration reduction, and consistency in product.
