To support this DIY and trade expansion we have expanded our supplier network in both New Zealand and overseas and are steadily building upon our competitive advantage by providing great pricing and increased range for customers. Customer service and staff training is also a big focus area.Many New Zealanders have grown up with Mitre 10 and trust the brand so much so that it has been awarded the most trusted brand in New Zealand in home improvement retailing on numerous occasions. That trust comes from knowing we are a locally owned co-operative that plays a valuable role in the communities in which we operate. While we share a name, we're completely independent of the Mitre 10 group in Australia.For these reasons local communities are very important to us. To give a little something back we support all four major fifteens provincial rugby competitions in New Zealand as well as the New Zealander of the Year – Community of the Year Award and the Neurological Foundation on top of many individual projects that are supported by our local stores to help their local communities.
