The curriculum of Mount Vernon is heavily influenced by the principles of Design Thinking and accomplished by the concepts of Project Based Learning. By focusing on solving people-centered problems, Mount Vernon's students are gaining real-world skills today. By putting the user first and starting with empathy, Mount Vernon students are acquiring a deeper and richer understanding of the world around them. By working with companies and non-profits such as Delta, Porsche, Chick-fil-a, Magic Wheelchair Project, City of Sandy Springs, and the Center for Civil and Human Rights, Mount Vernon Students are getting out of the classroom and making real change. The School serves 957 students (Preschool-Grade 12) across two campuses.
