The Stand Newspaper is a nonprofit community publication written by and for the residents of Syracuse's South Side. As the voice of the South Side, the paper aims to start community conversations by inviting residents to share their stories. The paper is the brainchild of the South Side Newspaper Project, a collaboration between the Southside Community Coalition, the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a number of dedicated South Side community residents. The Stand publishes eight print editions a year that are distributed at various community drop points which can be found on our website.
