While still a senior at George Washington Carver School of Engineering and Science in her hometown of Philadelphia (formerly George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science), Artistry Over Fame©™ (then an unnamed initiative) was founded with the intention of protecting Asia Nidyra™℗ Thomas'© brand and showcasing her professional skills in a more organized way after cultivating a passion for Graphic Design following a winter track meet where she took photographs with friends. After withdrawing from Pennsylvania State University in Fall of 2007 due to lack of finances and the inability to pay the semester's accumulating bill, Asia moved back home to Philadelphia, where she decided to further educate herself in art and technology via her own projects. After using numerous names for her graphic designs, she came up with the name, Artistry Over Fame©™, after brainstorming on what she wanted to be developed from her passion, skills, qualification, ideas, and talent. Artistry Over Fame©™ describes the philosophy of her wanting life and creativity to be valued more than celebrity and fame itself. Musically speaking, it's how she wants to be regarded, wanting her music to be popularized more than herself as the artist. Artistically speaking, her goal is to express herself through graphic design, office administration, and research as well as inform and help provide resources to those who need guidance while instilling to those who are interested in how important life is in itself in regards to self-expression, creativity, spirituality, and happiness. In the future, she hopes to counsel and inform people of all ages who are focused and help support, inform, and provide resources to them while they make important decisions and plan for themselves while helping them to legally navigate the applicable systems in which they will need to help them get to then next step and that will lead them to becoming more self-sufficient and less impoverished.
