Tertiary Institutions Service Centre (TISC) was established in 1975 by the four public universities in Western Australia: Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia.TISC's core services include; the management of preferential application system on behalf of the four universities for admission to undergraduate courses; scaling of WA Certificate of Education (WACE) student results; calculation of the Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) for WACE students; administration of the Western Australian Universities Foundation Program (WAUFP) for international students; administration of the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) in Western Australia.
