Plumas County Office of Education and Plumas Unified School District represent a small, rural county in Northeastern California where our communities are strong and interwoven. Surrounded by pristine natural beauty, about 3/4 of Plumas County is public land. The Plumas National Forest is our back yard and the outdoor classroom for our innovative Outdoor Core program. It's more than a place to work, it's a place to love.PUSD includes four communities: Chester, Greenville, Quincy, and Portola, serving about 1800 students. PUSD operates as a close-knit and caring family. Our small school populations foster genuine, long-lasting relationships among our staff and students. We offer a variety of dynamic programs including 1:1 Technology, AP courses, CTE courses, Visual & Performing Arts, PBIS, Business & Finance, Maker Space Class, and an integrated Outdoor Education program.
