The Franklin Township Community School Corporation is located in the southeast portion of Indianapolis. The township encompasses forty square miles that was once a rural community but currently experiencing growth through new housing. The township schools have over 8600 students and made up of six K-5 elementary schools, two Grades 6-8 middle schools and a comprehensive four-year high school.Franklin Central High School has garnered national recognition for their academic success.
