The MADness Podcast, also known as the Musing About Doubts Podcast, is hosted by Aurélien Saphy and Diego Garcia — two students at the one and only Leiden University College (LUC) in The Hague. The aim of the podcast is to explore various deep and fascinating questions that range from common everyday reflections, to current relevant challenges human societies are facing, to fundamental philosophical mysteries that strike at the core of human existence. What does it mean to live a fulfilling life? What defines optimal experience? How can understanding our mental selves lead to better decision-making? How can humanity better address issues of global significance, including climate change, the spread of new viruses and anti-bacterial resistant diseases, nuclear proliferation, the development of AI, fake news and misinformation campaigns, and many more developments? These are the sort of questions we wish to give serious consideration to on the podcast, as they are concerns that a large number of us share.Hopefully, by reflecting on such intricate, but inherently captivating topics, we can start to get a better understanding of the world around us and what we can do to improve it.Guests are the lifeblood of our podcast discussions. We therefore try to invite passionate and knowledgeable people for each new episode, with which we can have interesting and insightful conversations, rather than a simple interview-style dialogue. After the release of our episodes, we wish the discussion to continue through your comments on our facebook page under each episode thread, where you can share your thoughts on the discussed topic with us.All of our released episodes can be found on our website (madpod.org), or on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/show/0lwMimBgRUwW35SQDfaRvg).
