For Flipping NJ owner and founder Lenny Hernandez, business is personal. A native of central New Jersey—he grew up in modest garden apartments in North Plainfield—Lenny combines his understanding of the region and its communities with more than a decade of experience buying, rehabbing, and wholesaling properties. Like many other professionals, in 2008, Lenny was hit hard by the real estate market crash. While this was a financial blow, it gave Lenny new perspective and a more personal goal: to stimulate the local economy by linking investors with distressed properties. Lenny now dedicates 100 percent of his time to real estate projects and investor relations. Lenny's and his team's knowledge and experience helped Flipping NJ sell more than 150 homes in 2015—without the help of traditional marketing or social media—in an ever-changing and challenging market in one of the nation's most densely populated states. But it's a passion for real estate, community, and serving clients that sets Flipping NJ apart. "We don't want to be the biggest; we just want to be the best at what we do," Lenny says.
