We are an inner city church located in the heart of New Haven, CT just blocks from Yale University. Founded by Pastor & Mrs. Rick Perry this is a thriving and growing church and community connect point in the "Elm" city. When you picture 'Home' what do you see? Is yours a place of comfort and acceptance? Are your friends and family happy to be there? Are you? New Testament Believers spent time together daily. They shared meals, encouraged one another in their growing faith, sang together as well as assisted widows and cared for the fatherless. Haven of Hope believes in and promotes this same opportunity. As our family grows we are committed to be real, transparent, and honest with ourselves and our God.We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. Faith in Jesus is the means by which a person is justified. At the same time, a sinner must believe the gospel; he is commanded to repent of his sinful life, to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ, and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; 4:12; 8:12-17; 10:43-48; 19:1-6). One can see that the various aspects of faith and obedience work together in God's grace to reconcile us to God.
