Johnson Memorial Health Services (JMHS) is a not-for-profit hospital district that provides clinic, hospital, care center, assisted living, home care, and ambulance service. We have been awarded and recognized at both the state and national levels for the exceptional quality of care and environment of collegiality.We are proud of our modern medical facility and that we can offer a wide variety of outreach and specialized services, using the most current technology available. Dawson's variety of numerous businesses makes us a shopping destination for surrounding communities. The Dawson-Boyd School District is located in town and serves students in grades PreK-12. The excellent public school system offers a 1:13 ratio of teachers to students and has an above state average graduation rate.
