Welcome to the Centre for Creative Economy at NUST, an interdisciplinary research and innovation platform focused on promoting creativity!National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) is ranked as one of the best universities in Pakistan. It is also making a mark globally by contributing to the knowledge economy through its academic fraternity. NUST is contributing towards the betterment of society through need-based innovations and nurturing the versatile and creative young minds.NUST has realized the need for documenting, supporting, and promoting the creative potential of Pakistan in order to expand their horizon and create new avenues. In concordance, they have recently set up the Centre for Creative Economy at NUST.Our work is divided into creative focus areas which are targeted to identify develop & transform avenues for practice-led research & creative product development for the creative industries in Pakistan.The creative economy is the sum of all the parts of the creative industries, including trade, labor, and production. It is an evolving concept which is essentially the knowledge-based economic activities upon which the ‘creative industries' are based. The term creative economy is a contemporary and wider concept that includes the utilization of creativity and human imagination to promote and increase the value of an idea. It provides a platform for creative ideas of people to flourish and be shared with the world by the use of knowledge and technology.
