1930'lu yıllarda akademik dersler dışında, kültürel, sportif ve sosyal ilişkiler kurmanın da önemini benimseyen okulumuzda ilk Öğrenci Birliği kuruldu ve bu tip etkinlikler önem kazandı.Bu faaliyetlerini okuldan ayrıldıktan sonra da devam ettirmek isteyen bir grup mezun, zamanın okul müdürü Jessie Martin ve ilk Türk Müdür Bülent Yener'in de desteği ile 1952 sonbaharında "Scutari Alumnae Association"ı kurdular.Derneğin kuruluş amacı, Üsküdar Amerikan Lisesinde eğitim görmüş tüm UAA'liler arasında dayanışmayı sağlamak ve sosyal, kültürel, mesleki ilişkiler kurarak gerekli beraberliğin devamını ve yetişenlerin korunmasını sağlamak için ortak bilinç oluşturmaktır.The Student Association at UAA was first set up in the 1930s to celebrate the importance of cultural, sports and arts activities in addition to academic workload. This was also the start of an era where such co-curricular activities would intensify.A group of alumnae, who wished to remain engaged in such cultural, sports and arts activities set up the "Scutari Alumnae Association" in the fall of 1952 with the support of the school's then director Jessie Martin and the first Turkish principal Bülent Yener. The purpose of the association was to establish solidarity among Uskudar American Academy and to build a social, cultural and professional network to create awareness about unity and the safeguarding of current students.
