The Commissioner of Agriculture and Consumer Services is appointed by the Governor and serves on a number of state boards and councils. The department is organized into three operating divisions: Division of Animal and Food Industry Services, Division of Consumer Protection, and Division of Marketing & Development as well as the Commissioner's Office and Administrative and Financial Services.
