Over the years we have changes a lot. Here's a little history:• 1885 we were known as Grant County Charity Hospital• 1937 we became the Swift Memorial Hospital• 1957 the name changed to Silver City General Hospital• 1959 we were known as The Hillcrest Hospital• 1969 Grant County became the owners of the Hospital• 1983 to present we are known as Gila Regional Medical CenterLOCATION:Nestled in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 6,000 feet, Silver City borders the Continental Divide.
