The county is strategically located close to the Port of Savannah, Savannah International Airport and has some of the best schools in the region. The county has 405 full time employees and 79 part time with a FY2019 budget of $28.8 Million General Fund and a budget of $56.8 Million for Special Funds and Capital Projects.
