Most of about 70 young people who live at any one time in one of The Villages' five group homes in Topeka and two in Lawrence, are teenagers. They come from throughout the State of Kansas to The Villages referred by the Decpartment of Corrections. Each of the 7 large, well maintained family style houses provides a home to up to 10 young people. Three of the homes are for boys and 4 are co-ed. A house parent couple lives in each of the homes, often with their biological children. House parents provide love, support and structure.
