Sandford Orchards is a multi award-winning cider maker based in the heart of rural Devon. All of our cider is naturally cold-fermented from the whole juice of Devon cider apples grown within 30 miles of our press at The Cider Works. These strict production values make the highest quality cider as recognised by numerous awards including Great Taste, Taste Of The West, International Cider Challenge and the British Cider Championships. We are currently blending around 18 ciders including Devon Red, Devon Mist, Fanny's Bramble, The General, a range for M&S and a whole host of other ciders from traditional straw-pressed to innovative dry-hopped ciders. Our cider is available through our wholesale partners throughout the UK and we export to China, Japan, Europe, Russia and America. It is a great pleasure to a bottle of Devon Red in a Finnish supermarket, a bar in Las Vegas or a restaurant in Shenzhen but our favourite place to see it pouring will always be our local pub in Sandford.As a company we are passionate about where we are from. In 2014 we began renovations on The Old Cider Works, built in 1935 as the home of the famed Creedy Valley Cider Co. This grand old building in the middle of the town has not only provided us with the room we need to continue our strong growth but also has restored a piece of cider history. We have worked tirelessly since 2002 to restore more and more of Devon's traditional orchards and maintain the traditions that surround our agricultural community such as Wassail and Franklin's Night. Tradition and innovation are at the core of everything we do. Taking flavours and techniques that have been enjoyed for generations, deconstructing them and using the constituent parts to come up with something that moves us forwards is the great pleasure of our work.
