تصدرت الكويت مثيلاتها من دول المنطقة بأسرها في إقامة أول شركة للمعارض في دولة الكويت حين صدر مرسوم تأسيس الشركة في سنة 1971 كشركة مساهمة كويتية مقفلة يشارك في رأسمالها حكومة دولة الكويت والشركة الكويتية للاستثمار برأسمال قدره (2.000.000) اثنين مليون دينار كويتي ، حيث ارتسمت حينها البدايات المتواضعة الأولى للبنية التحتية للشركة فوق مساحة 544.407 ألف متر مربع ، وتكلل نجاحها بتحقيق أهدافها حين تم زيادة رأسمال الشركة فيما بعد الى (3.000.000) ثلاثة ملايين دينار كويتي، لتعكس أهمية ودور هذه الصناعة في تحقيق فرص تسويقية عبر التقاء ممثلي الشركات مع العملاء والزوار بشكل مباشر لتقديم خدماتها وتعريفهم بكل ما هو جديد لديها.
