Foundation, established in the memory of our brother and friend Michael Young, is a non-profit, charitable organization providing financial assistance, guidance and social empowerment to low-income children in Camden County. The Foundation's unique mission is founded on Michael's belief that charity is a positive endeavor when it is deserved; and that true charity goes hand in hand with teaching people not to rely on others but to rely on themselves.M.Y. Foundation offers children of all socioeconomic backgrounds the opportunity to work side-by-side to enrich themselves and their communities. The Foundation's mission is to engage at-risk children by satisfying their basic needs while in turn offering them the opportunity to actively participate in events and fundraisers which help them establish a sense of responsiblity and empowerment. Rather than providing one-time gifts, M.Y. Foundation offers at-risk children the opportunity to become the architects of their own futures by becoming vital, contributing members of their communities.M.Y. Foundation's goal is to follow participants into adulthood, encouraging them to make ethically, socially, and intellectually conscious decisions in order to better their lives and the lives of those in their communities.M.Y.
