We are Trailblazers + ETHIC, a 501(c)3 nonprofit formed in 2021 through the merger of BikeNWA, a bicycle advocacy and educationfocused organization, and NWA Trailblazers, an organization that has developed 300+ miles of multi-use trails. Our new name is anexpression of the core tenets that inform and inspire our work: Equity, Trails, Health, Infrastructure, and Community. Our missionLead the development of an innovative regional recreationand transportation movement that places all trails and activetransportation infrastructure at the core of an inclusive,vibrant, and healthy culture.Our visionNorthwest Arkansas becomes the nation's premier region forworld-class cycling and active transportation.Formally BikeNWA Founded in 1999 as the Bicycle Coalition of the Ozarks, BikeNWA has been working for nearly two decades to make Northwest Arkansas a more bike-friendly region. We do this in two ways: by supporting and amplifying the work of local bike organizations, and meeting with local elected officials to advocate for better bike infrastructure and bike-friendly policies.
