Melrose Day Care Center & Preschool (MDCC) is a non-profit child care center located in Melrose, MA. The Center is licensed for 85 children ranging in age from infants to pre-k. We are NAEYC accredited and rated as a self-assessed level 3 within the QRIS (Quality Rating Improvement System) for the state of Massachusetts. MDCC opened in 1971.We are run by a volunteer board of directors comprised of parents and community members. The average tenure of our staff is 10 years with many who have their Bachelor's degree in early childhood and several who have their master's degrees. We serve breakfast, lunch and 2 snacks per day as part of our tuition. In addition, we offer many enrichment opportunities for the children including Spanish (for preschool and older), yoga and music. The Center is open from 6:30 am to 6 pm daily. We are open 52 weeks out of the year and closed for various holidays during that time.
