After his birth to the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life as a man on earth and offered himself as a perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men. He was executed on the cross, but rose from His tomb, very much alive, to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven, where He sits by His Father's right side, waiting to return to earth again as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. His exists in this world to make men aware of their need for salvation. When men accept this gift of salvation, they also allow the Holy Spirit to live in them. In this role, He provides believers with understanding of spiritual truth, guidance in doing what is right and power to live each day.
