The St Vincent de Paul Society is a volunteer based international charity that offers a ‘hand up' to people experiencing disadvantage.The St Vincent de Paul Society is a ground-roots organisation whose members and volunteers have been helping countless families and individuals for more than 150 years. The St Vincent de Paul Society's most recognisable services are the Vinnies Retail Centres or shops, which are the first point of contact for people who need a helping hand not to mention a one-stop-shop for pre-loved clothing and wares.What makes the St Vincent de Paul Society special is that the money raised goes towards helping the local community and funding our other support services, which include:- homeless services for men, women and children- youth programs and camps for children experiencing disadvantage- friendship programs for people living with a mental illness- budget counselling- energy efficiency assessments- food and referral services- home visitation- and more.The St Vincent de Paul Society provides a safety net for anyone who has no one else to turn to, no matter what their circumstance.
