Portsmouth Music Academy (PMA) is one of the leading providers of music tuition in the South. With two locations in Portsmouth, both centres are fully equipped to provide lessons in Electric and Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Piano / Keyboard, Singing, Ukulele, Banjo and Music Theory. Since its launch in January 2013, PMA has grown to a team of 35 freelance tutors with over 400 active students attending lessons each week.We teach students of all ages and abilities and offer one-to-one and group lessons. Our team of professional tutors are extremely passionate about helping people to reach their potential as musicians, whether the student's goal is to learn their favourite song, pass a grade 8 exam or just play music with like-minded people. We believe performing live is an essential and fun part of learning any instrument and we're proud to offer exciting opportunities for our students to perform live. Our concerts, recitals and showcases are always exciting and well-attended events. We also run jam nights for our students to socialise and continue to learn in a less formal environment. Everyone is welcome to all our events, even if you don't take lessons with us.As well as providing private lessons at our centres in Hampshire, we also provide peripatetic music teachers for Junior and Secondary schools across the UK.
